Growing Place Preschool at Calvary Christian Academy

you for your interest in our Preschool Program.
About Us
The Growing Place Preschool, a ministry of Calvary Baptist Church, has
existed for over 20 years. It all began at our former location on West
Street, here in Warwick. In 1986 we moved to our present location at 5
Wisner Road. Our purpose was, and continues to be, to provide a quality
Christian education for preschoolers. We understand the importance of a
child's early years, and are glad that you are considering sharing your
child with us during this precious time.
Our
program is designed to assist parents in educating their child(ren)
spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially. It is an excellent
preparation for Kindergarten. Our caring teachers provide a warm,
friendly atmosphere in which children can easily learn and enjoy
themselves at the same time.
We
offer two different preschool programs here at the Growing Place:
Our Three Year Olds
Program
The three year olds’ curriculum
emphasizes shapes, colors, and number concepts. It also includes science
concepts and art projects.
If
registration warrants, an additional class will be offered from 1:00PM -
3:30PM on the scheduled days.
Our Four Year Olds
Program
is designed for children
who will be four years old by December 1st of the year entering our
program.
meets on Mondays,
Wednesdays and Friday from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
The four year olds’ curriculum emphasizes
the alphabet (both writing and phonics), and numbers. This program will provide your child with the
skills necessary for entering Kindergarten.
If
registration warrants, an additional class will be offered from 1:00PM -
3:30PM on the scheduled days.
Toilet Training
Child needs to be toilet trained before starting school. This applies to
the three year olds program as well as the four year olds program (we do
not have changing facilities).
