CALVARY CHRISTIAN ACADEMY - "Teaching for Time and Eternity"
|
Testing
The Stanford
Achievement Test, an advanced test supplied and scored by Harcourt
Educational
Measurement, will be taken once a year by all CCA students
from Kindergarten and up. We also administer the New York State ELAs
(English language) and the New York State mathematics test in fourth and eighth grade.
Transportation
Busing is provided by your public school district for New York State
students who live within 15 miles of CCA. Please drop off (or send) the attached
Transportation Request Form to your school district’s Transportation Department
by March 31 of each school year to ensure district transportation for your child.
New Jersey students are not
bused by their district; they rely on private transportation to and from
school. Please contact the school office for your New Jersey
transportation request form and return it to the school. Depending on
your location, it may be possible to be reimbursed by your school
district for mileage incurred.

Dress Code
CCA students are required to wear school uniforms. Students have the choice of wearing
either a maroon cardigan, maroon vest, or maroon fleece as part of their uniforms. Boys’
uniforms also consist of white Polo shirts, gray pants, and black, laced oxfords.
Girls also wear white Polo shirts and maroon plaid jumpers (from K-3rd grade), or skirts
(4th and up). After November 1st, girls may wear gray pants. Girls’ footwear: Flat, black
dress shoes (laced or Mary Janes with ankle straps).
Gym uniforms are required for grades 1 and up. They consist of maroon or
gray sweat suits, gray logo T-shirts, and maroon or gray shorts. Information on how
to order these items is available at the school office.
Snack/Lunch
At the present time we do not provide a hot lunch program. Students will
bring their snack/lunch from home, with the exception of our weekly
"Pizza Day" (optional).
Book Fee
Part of the book fee will be covered by your public school district; the remaining book
fee is included in tuition payments.
For returning students: If your registration is not received by April 1st,
you will be charged a $55.00 book fee, because we will be unable to order any
books for your child through your public school district.
Tuition
We offer the following tuition payment plans:
-
A
monthly payment schedule based on 12 months (July - June); payment is
due on the 1st of the month.
-
A
two-payment schedule: One payment is due on July 1st, and the balance
is due on January 1st.
-
Tuition may also be paid in full prior to the beginning of the school
year
Please refer to the attached schedule for your yearly tuition amount. In
June, you will be receiving a tuition payment letter, as well as a
tuition payment booklet.
Late Payment
A late fee in the amount of $25.00 will be added to the tuition, if
tuition has not been received by the 10th day of said month.
Any tuition payment more than 30 days behind, may result in having your
child suspended from school, until the account is brought up to date, or
a mutually agreed upon payment schedule is worked out between the
administration and the parents. The school reserves the right to require
overdue accounts to be paid by cash or money order. If you have any
questions, or extenuating circumstances you would like to discuss with
the principal, please call.
We
regret that these measures must be taken, but all school expenses are
paid with monies from tuitions.
Returned Checks
A $15.00 fee will be charged on all returned checks. If 2 (two) checks are
returned on the same account, cash or money order payments will be required thereafter.
We Believe:
Inerrancy - That the Bible is the Word of God inspired by the
Holy Spirit.
Eternal Godhead - That there is one true God existing in Three
Persons.
Jesus Christ - Is God incarnate, conceived by the Holy Spirit and
born of the Virgin Mary.
Holy Spirit - He convicts, regenerates, seals, indwells, teaches
and fills believers.
Mankind - That man was created in the image of God but by
disobedience is now a condemned sinner in need of salvation
Salvation - Is a gift of God’s grace received through one’s trust
in the person, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Church - Is the Body of Christ composed of believers who assemble
for worship, mutual support, and service
Ordinances - That there are 2: Believers’ Baptism and the Lord’s
Supper
Second Coming - That Jesus Christ will return visibly and
personally to establish His kingdom.
Eternity - That believers will be resurrected unto life eternal
and the unsaved unto eternal damnation.
Non Discriminatory Policy
CCA admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to
all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded
or made available to students at the academy. It does not discriminate
on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origins, or sex, in
administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, and
scholarships.
TUITION PAYMENTS
There will be 12 equal payments starting in July and completed in June.
